'Twas a Very Merry Christmas and an Exciting Start to 2012!

First of all, we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that it is already January 16th, let alone Elly Sue is over 7 Months Old!

And now, we would like to announce the engagement of Jenny and Blake! Elly Sue is so excited for Mommy and Daddy and thinks that Mommy's new ring is especially beautiful and...well, *sPaRkLy*!

Besides starting the new year off with a BANG, Elly has been so excited to play with all her toys from Christmas!

She especially loved traveling south to visit Mommy's family over the holidays!

OBX 2011

We just returned home last weekend from our family's Outer Banks (OBX) adventure. We had a home rented for a week on the ocean, and we loved every second of it. We were able to swim in the pool when the beach was too busy or if we just wanted to relax near the house for a day, but had a fantastic upper deck view of all the Atlantic had to offer if we needed a little 'more' added to our schedule. Between Wild Horse Tours and lounging around in the sun, we all had a fantastic time. Elly was such a good little traveler and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed relaxing with family and friends. Here are some pictures of our house on the beach, "Scrimshaw", the pool, ocean, wild horses, and various outings we took throughout the week of the 4th.

Updates on Elly and the Family

Jenny, Blake, and little Ellyaire are in their new home in Vicksburg now! There are so many exciting things going on in their lives as a new little family. Elly continues to be a happy, healthy little girl, and Mom and Dad continue to move things in and adjust to the new life they have made for themselves. More pictures will be posted as the Carlson family prepares to take a vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
